Branded winter clothing for staff: what to choose and why

A short guide to branded winter clothing: a jacket or parka for outdoors, a vest for layering, fleece for indoors and hats and gloves on a smaller budget.

Padded winter parka with company logo for staff

Every October the same question comes up in almost every company. The warehouse is cold in the morning, the wind picks up on site and the event team stands outside for hours. Branded winter clothing solves two things at once: people stay warm, and customers can see straight away who they are dealing with.

Below is a short guide to choosing the right type of garment, how to add your logo and which models in our catalogue work best for the job.

Start with one question: where will it be worn?

Before picking a model, it helps to be clear on three things.

  • How long are people outdoors? A vest is enough for quick trips to the loading dock. A full day on site calls for a proper jacket or parka.
  • Is it workwear or a gift? Workwear has to survive washing and wear. With a gift, what matters more is that people actually want to wear it at the weekend too.
  • How many sizes do you need? Every team has both small and large sizes. Unisex cuts make ordering easier because one size chart covers everyone.

A jacket or parka for long days outside

If your people work outdoors, a jacket is the most sensible investment. It is also the best surface for a logo, because it is the outermost layer and everyone sees it.

The Setter parka is a padded unisex parka with an adjustable hood. A front zip with chin guard, zipped side pockets and Velcro cuffs keep the wind out. It suits construction, logistics and anyone who spends several hours at a time outside in winter.

The Likpan jacket is the lighter option. It is made of 100% recycled polyester (RPET) with a light, down-jacket look, it is wind and water resistant and padded inside. The hood adjusts with elastic straps, and the jacket comes with its own carry pouch, so it fits in a travel bag. The Mitens jacket has a similar style.

A vest for layering

The vest is the most versatile piece of winter clothing. People wear it over a jumper in the office, at work in the warehouse and on its own in autumn.

The Rostol vest is made from the same light RPET material as the jackets above, padded and wind and water resistant. If your company already has jackets in this style, the vest continues the same look.

If you prefer something softer and sportier, a softshell vest with fleece lining is a good middle ground. All models are on the jackets and vests page.

Fleece for the office and indoors

Not everyone works outside. In an office, a shop or a chilly warehouse, fleece is often better than a jacket because it is not bulky and can be worn all day.

The Arsuk fleece is made of 160 g/m² combed fleece with a melange finish, and the collar zip is covered by a flap. Embroidery works very well on fleece and stays neat even after many washes.

The small items people use the most

A jacket is a bigger spend. If the budget is smaller or you want a gift for the whole team, these are the things people reach for all winter.

  • Winter hat. The knitted acrylic beanie in double yarn is warm, and a logo looks good on it as embroidery or a label. More models are under caps and hats.
  • Touchscreen gloves. The OPERATE gloves have conductive fibres in the fingertips, so phones work without taking the gloves off. For couriers and warehouse staff that really matters.
  • Neck warmer. A fleece neck warmer that doubles as a hat is affordable and fits in any pocket.

If you order several items at once, pick the jacket, hat and gloves in one colour. That way the team looks like a team.

Logo: print, embroidery or label

The right technique depends on the material.

  • Embroidery suits fleece, hats and dense fabric. It is durable and looks more premium.
  • Print or transfer suits a smooth jacket surface and a larger logo on the back.
  • A label is a good option for knitted hats and neck warmers, where direct embroidery does not always come out as clean.

Quilted jackets have seams close together, so the logo position needs to avoid them. Chest height and the back are usually the best spots. If your logo has several colours or fine details, ask for a mock-up before production so you can see how it looks on the garment. Send us your logo and we will tell you what works best on that specific model.

What suits which team

  • Construction and outdoor work: a parka or padded jacket, plus a winter hat and touchscreen gloves. The clothing has to hold up through a long day in wind and damp.
  • Warehouse and logistics: a vest that works both inside the warehouse and on the loading dock, and gloves that let people use their phone without taking them off.
  • Office and customer service: a fleece or light vest that still looks neat in a meeting or at a client's site.
  • Events and trade fairs: a team in matching jackets or vests stands out in a crowd, even from a distance. A logo on the back helps guests find the right person.
  • Municipalities and schools: a fleece or vest that staff wear every day, and a hat that also works as an end-of-year gift.

When to order

Winter clothing is often ordered too late, when the first snow is already on the ground. A jacket as a Christmas gift also only arrives on time if the decision is made early. The sensible time to start is when the weather is just turning cold: you can collect sizes calmly and approve the logo.

If your team works in several locations, collect the sizes in one sheet before you ask for a quote. It prevents the most common mistake, where the order is ready but half the sizes are missing.

Summary

For long days outdoors choose a parka or jacket, for layering a vest and for indoors a fleece. If the budget is small, a hat, gloves and a neck warmer get the most use in winter. Choose the logo technique by material: embroidery for fleece and hats, print for a smooth jacket.

Tell us how many people, which models and by when you need the clothing, and request a quote. We will put together a selection and a price.
